In addition to the Park and Ride (P+R) and Multimodal Exchange Hubs (PEM), the metropolitan parking lots, which are paid and open to all, are now managed by the Metropolis.
Metropolitan parking lots are designed to be welcoming and attractive places to live. The range of services offered is increasingly diverse: car sharing, rental vehicles, secure areas for two-wheelers and bicycles, charging stations for electric cars, and more.

Attractive pricing
The Metropolis leads the overall policy and coordinates the parking offer.
Paid on-street parking, which depends on the municipalities, is reserved for short-term parking.
After two hours of parking and to encourage turnover, users must free up space and use the car parks.

Harmonized pricing
Since 2019, the Metropolis has been committed, particularly in Marseille, to harmonizing the pricing of metropolitan parking lots.
Three zones have been defined: the first ring, the center, and the business district where prices are higher, in order to encourage the use of public transport for home/work travel.

Pricing reserved for residents
In order to support urban redevelopment operations which have led to the removal of many on-street parking spaces, the Metropolis has developed an offer for its car parks intended for residents, with very attractive pricing.
Quotas of places reserved for residents are systematically introduced in all new manager contracts.
To benefit from the resident rate, you must have a primary residence within a 500-meter radius of the chosen metropolitan car park.
In order to be able to respond to the greatest number of users, the Metropolis has decided to allocate only one resident subscription per household.
Night pricing
To support leisure generators in Marseille
To support restaurants, bars, performance halls, cinemas, etc., the Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolis has introduced an incentive pricing scheme in most of its car parks, which applies from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. the following day, at a maximum of €5.
